Personal Statement
My intervention involves tailoring nutritional plans that work for the individual, avoiding a 'one-size-fits-all' approach. As a dietitian, I provide evidence based nutritional intervention and steer patients away from 'fad-diets'.
As well as nutritional intervention, I believe in a multi-professional approach to weight management which may involve; surgical, medical, psychological and/or exercise treatments. I aim to provide patients with knowledge and skills that will assist them life-long, promoting physical, psychological and nutritional wellness.
Following bariatric surgery, I am passionate about supporting patients achieve the best possible outcome, ensuring that the patient achieves their aims and optimise their nutritional status.
Outside of the clinical workplace I enjoy playing and coaching rugby. This has also helped me to develop key transferable skills in leadership and teamwork.
