Personal Statement
I am passionate about providing excellent, evidence-based care and guidance for people living with obesity and bariatric surgery. I work in a non-judgemental, individualised and holistic manner with an aim of providing people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to optimise their nutrition and health for life. Through my experience I understand the complex factors affecting people’s relationship with food, weight and nutritional wellbeing and how bariatric surgery can be an invaluable tool for change. I promote physical, psychological and nutritional wellbeing and highly value working with a multi-disciplinary team, which may include surgeons, medics, psychologists, nurses, pharmacists and exercise specialists.
Alongside work, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the coast, being active and trying new recipes. I also like arts and crafts and exploring charity shops and car boot sales. I value our environment and am working to improve my knowledge on plants and gardening!
